Ocean was a one hit wonder. A great band but they never made another mega hit. There was another song they did that went pretty well but never came close to this song.
The Ironic thing is that Ocean band members were not religious. They simply agreed to do this song. They never escaped the song after that. They put on shows and tried to showcase their own music, but this song was demanded of them constantly by the audiences, until the band disbanded. Even at Biker events that Ocean played at, they requested this song from the band.
You can hear the real hippy sound in the Canadian group, especially the lead female singer, Janice Morgan. She was trully a hippy who was all about Love, Peace, Brotherhood and Harmony. Her sound is very flower power.
