Pictures depicting Jesus that are kind of close.

  1. This one is quite interesting in how closely it depicts Jesus:
The Cloud has a burning intensity.
The Cloud is the right hue.
The figure of the man is not quite a silhouette, but close.
The robe is very right showing a gathered waist and belled sleeves.
The hue of the man is monochromatic with the cloud rather than complimentary blue.
The face is obscured, but the man may be bald like a Pharaoh.

I score this depiction at 9. As far as I'm concerned, this could be a picture of Jesus. If it isn't, it would fool me.

  2. This depiction of Jesus has some merit:

The background has a burning intensity in a mist.
The man is a good strong silhuette against the background.
The sleeves of the robe are belled.

    Where I find inacuracy:

The man is obviously a tall slim white man instead of a mid stature man.
Long hair is depicted instead of the an oiled head or bald look.
The robe is not gathered at the waist, but is billowing.

I score it a 5. I think this is a coincidentally semi-accurate depiction of Jesus that doesn't really suggest any particular insight behind it.

  3. This one has enough information in it to make me suspect it is actually inspired from experience or the testimony of some experience.
    What I see as accurate:

Radiant ringed auras are depicted around the amber background. Though such may or may not be seen the ringed effect is descibed in association with signs preceeding the appearance of the Glroy of the Lord, such as Ezekiels wheels.
The background is depicted as a radiant amber field suggesting an artistic attempt to describe a burning amber mist.
The figure of the man is fully a complimentary blue against the amber background. Obviously detail is added to the man instead of showing a silhouette of blue. This could simply be artistic license to make certain the observer identifies the man as Jesus.

I rate this picture as a 9.5 for depicting Jesus with inspired appearing insight. The only concession to accuracy appears to be for the sake of clarity of meaning, via artistic license.

  4. This is a figure on top of a church that is barely rising above the fog bank. The gold tone of the fog bank is close to the color of the Glory cloud and the statue is silhouetted in the cloud like Jesus.

I score it 7 as a depiction of Jesus.
As a photo, is is an exceptionally beautiful and captivating shot. The man who took the photo can be found on Flickr.com by doing a search of keywords "jesus in the cloud".

CBB : I am pretty sure that is the image taken at Rio de Janeiro, and it is not a Church, but I get what you are talking about. HERE

  6. Here is an ineresting gem that I stumbled upon. One can excuse the artist for making Jesus the stereotypical white european male.

The similarities are in the colors of a Saphire Robe and a Bright Golden background.

Inaccuracies are the drape of the robe, not being gathered at the waist, the lack of the belled sleeves, the details of the figure instead of silhouetted, and all the hair instead of ears showing.

Theme wise, a cross is present to unmistakable identify the figure as The Lord.

  7. Isa 53:2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, [there is] no beauty that we should desire him.

***NOTE*** NO beauty to be desired.

Rev 1:13-16 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks [one] like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and [his] hairs [were] white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes [were] as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance [was] as the sun shineth in his strength.

Rev 19:12 -13 His eyes [were] as a flame of fire, and on his head [were] many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he [was] clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
Rev 19:15 -16 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on [his] vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Isa 13:6 Howl ye; for the day of the LORD [is] at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

Joe 1:15 Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD [is] at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

Mal 4:1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

Rev 18:8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong [is] the Lord God who judgeth her.

Mat 7:22-23 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Luk 13:28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you [yourselves] thrust out.

Hbr 10:31 [It is] a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

  8. N: This reminds me of an artistic work:

    "Piss Christ"

Piss Christ is a 1987 photograph by photographer Andres Serrano. It depicts a small plastic crucifix submerged in a glass of the artist's urine. The piece was a winner of the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art's "Awards in the Visual Arts" competition,[1] which is sponsored in part by the National Endowment for the Arts, a United States Government agency that offers support and funding for artistic projects.

The piece caused a scandal when it was exhibited in 1989, with detractors, including United States Senators Al D'Amato and Jesse Helms, outraged that Serrano received $15,000 for the work, part of it from the taxpayer-funded National Endowment for the Arts. Serrano received death threats and hate mail, and lost grants due to the controversy.[2] The work was vandalized at the National Gallery of Victoria, Australia, and gallery officials reported receiving death threats in response to Piss Christ.[3] Supporters argued the controversy over Piss Christ is an issue of artistic freedom and freedom of speech....

N: The above extract courtesy of Wikipedia. I have read about the artist's intentions of this work, including the extreme contrast of juxtaposition of excrement which represents foul and negative value, and the iconic crucifix which supposedly hangs in for the best possible benefit, that of the resurrection from the dead and life forever. Go to the Wikipedia article to see the photograph and how it resembles what you posted. Cheers.
